VP of Finance/CFO-Transportation

Executive-level finance leadership role responsible for directing financial operations, reporting, forecasting, financing, and accounting for a transportation company in Canton, Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Direct financial operations across planning, reporting, forecasting, financing, and accounting
• Manage financial reporting processes end-to-end
• Oversee group consolidations
• Supervise general ledger accounting and monthly close
• Lead annual budgeting and ongoing budget management
• Drive forecasting and scenario planning
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity management
• Maintain banking relationships and financing arrangements
• Oversee lender reporting obligations
• Coordinate equipment financing activities
• Strengthen internal controls and compliance framework
• Lead the accounting team and talent development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 7–10 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience preferred
• Trucking, transportation, logistics, or fleet experience strongly preferred
• Strong background in financial reporting, consolidations, forecasting, budgeting, and GL accounting
• Experience with banking, financing, debt reporting, equipment loans, and cash flow management
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical abilities
