Accountant/Financial Analyst

Arbor Circle Corporation seeks an Accountant and Financial Analyst to provide essential financial support for a nonprofit behavioral health agency. The role encompasses financial reporting, grant tracking, audits, budgeting, and strengthening internal controls, with collaboration across program directors and the finance team. A flexible work arrangement is available, including remote, in-person, or hybrid options.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial reporting for internal stakeholders and funders.
• Track funder and grant expenses to ensure alignment with grant terms.
• Reconcile accounts to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
• Perform financial analyses to support program decisions and budgeting.
• Bill for reimbursements from contractual agencies and funding sources.
• Provide timely external reports to a diverse set of funders.
• Develop budgets for funders.
• Assist with funder financial reviews by supplying data and documentation.
• Support month-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and compile financial statements.
• Assist with the annual financial statement audit and the annual budgeting cycle.
• Offer financial support to 2-3 program directors, including facilitating their monthly meetings.
• Collaborate with other accountants, financial managers, and the CFO to implement and maintain internal controls and procedures.

Requirements

• Residency in Michigan.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet external deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
