Automotive Finance Manager - Experienced

Shearer Automotive is hiring an Automotive Finance Manager for on-site work in South Burlington, VT, managing the financing and paperwork process from customer presentation through contract funding.

Responsibilities

• Walk customers through the financing and documentation steps for vehicle purchases or leases
• Explain financing and lease options, including vehicle protection products, service contracts, and other F&I offerings in a clear, professional manner
• Submit credit applications and partner with lenders to obtain competitive approvals
• Collaborate with Sales Management to structure deals
• Ensure contracts, disclosures, and all required documentation are completed accurately
• Maintain compliance with dealership policies and applicable lender, manufacturer, state, and federal requirements
• Use a consistent menu presentation process when reviewing finance and protection choices
• Monitor contracts in transit and support timely funding
• Follow up on stipulations, missing documentation, chargebacks, and other funding-related issues
• Maintain strong relationships with lenders and manufacturer finance partners
• Work with Sales Management and sales consultants to support a smooth transition from vehicle selection to delivery
• Maintain high customer satisfaction while meeting department performance goals

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Automotive dealership experience required
• Automotive F&I or Finance Manager experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of automotive lending, leasing, and F&I products
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Understanding of dealership compliance and documentation requirements
• Ability to manage multiple deals and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort using dealership management systems, lender portals, and electronic contracting platforms
• Professional, customer-focused approach
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
