Job Description
Linden Thomas & Co, a Charlotte-based firm delivering personalized wealth management, is seeking an accomplished financial professional to lead client-focused planning on site in Charlotte, NC. The Certified Financial Planner will convert complex financial data into comprehensive strategies, spanning retirement, tax, estate, and risk management, while cultivating meaningful relationships with clients and supporting sophisticated investment approaches.
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored financial guidance aligned with the firm’s client-centered approach
- Develop comprehensive financial plans covering retirement, tax, estate, and risk management
- Analyze client financial data (income, expenses, assets, liabilities) to inform recommendations
- Build and maintain financial models, cash-flow analyses, and planning projections
- Assess risk tolerance and adjust strategies as client needs evolve
- Collaborate with internal teams and external professionals (CPAs, attorneys) to create holistic plans
- Present recommendations and assist clients through implementation
- Monitor plans and revise based on market conditions, life events, and regulatory changes
- Maintain current knowledge of tax laws, estate strategies, and financial products
- Support business development efforts and deepen existing client relationships
Requirements
- Licenses: Series 65 or 66 required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Experience: 4–6+ years in financial planning or advisory services
