Job Description

Morgan Rubbish Removal/Dependable Disposal is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer to guide its financial operations from an onsite base in Syracuse, NY. This strategic role oversees accounting, financial planning, risk management, and compliance to drive growth across the organization. The position offers a yearly salary in the range of USD 125,000 to 150,000.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees Accounting department and annual year end process for multiple companies.
  • Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations, based on monthly financial reviews.
  • Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements and Statement of Cashflows.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly Consolidated statements, along with Covenant calculations for the Bank.
  • Sales Tax returns, and other governmental agency reports.
  • Monthly Bank reconciliations and due to/due from company reconciliations.
  • Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures.
  • Compares budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  • Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
  • Works with the President and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
  • Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
  • Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.
