Job Description
The district offers a pathway to impact every student by ensuring strong fiscal stewardship and efficient, reliable operations. This onsite executive role places you on the Superintendent’s leadership team to guide financial strategy and operational performance across the district. You will shape the budget, strengthen systems, and align resources with Board and Superintendent priorities. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership, oversight, and management of the district's financial and operational functions.
- Develop and implement the district budget.
- Ensure sound fiscal stewardship across all funds and programs.
- Strengthen districtwide operational systems and processes.
- Align district resources with the Board of Education and Superintendent priorities.
- Oversee financial planning, accounting, and revenue management.
- Lead procurement, facilities, transportation, and nutrition services.
- Oversee information technology and risk management.
- Manage related operational functions and compliance with policy and standards.
- Ensure compliance with Board policy, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Governmental Accounting Standards Board requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, public administration, educational leadership, or related field.
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in finance, operations, public administration, school business management, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience with organizational leadership, management systems, public-sector operations, and business administration.
- Experience with public entity finance, budgeting, accounting, procurement, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of school funding mechanisms and fiscal compliance requirements for federal, state, and local education programs.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Governmental Accounting Standards Board requirements.
- Understanding of internal controls, audit processes, financial reporting, budget development, procurement requirements, and risk management practices.
- Experience using automated enterprise resource planning or accounting systems.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, and financial management software.
- Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws and regulations, contracts, legal documents, Board policies, and guidance related to school district operations.
- Strong project management skills to organize, prioritize, coordinate, and manage multiple complex initiatives with changing deadlines and priorities.
- Professional, clear, courteous, and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound independent judgment.

Compensation and schedule
Starting salary: Grade 12, $131,460.58 to $172,173.25 DOE
Work day: 8 hours per day
Work year: 12 months
