Job Description

Berkeley Research Group (BRG) is hiring a full-time Consultant for Corporate Finance focused on Turnaround and Restructuring in Boston.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day activities of BRG Corporate Finance Turnaround & Restructuring client service teams
  • Execute multiple workstreams across consulting engagements, including financial modeling and client presentations
  • Apply business, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to develop and use: 13-week cash flow models, three-statement models, and pro-forma scenario models
  • Work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with T&R and BRG experts, professionals from other firms, and client contacts to meet engagement objectives
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables
  • Contribute to a fast-growing, entrepreneurial consulting practice by assisting with marketing, client pitches, and product and practice development
  • Maintain the highest degree of professionalism, ethics, quality, and integrity

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or degree equivalent) in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience: 4+ years of work experience, ideally in consulting or professional services
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis experience (especially in Excel), including building and understanding three-statement financial models, cash flows, and scenario analyses
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data
  • Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative analysis and translate results into insights and recommendations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to interact with junior and senior team members, senior management, and other stakeholders
  • Mature presence, empathy, intellectual curiosity, and ability to learn quickly
  • Capable of working independently or within a team dynamic
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize changing demands, and learn quickly
  • Helpful: CFA, CPA (or equivalent), or technical/GAAP accounting expertise
  • Software: Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Willingness to travel as needed
