Controller

The Controller will manage the accounting department for a healthcare organization in Hamilton, TX (onsite). This role is responsible for producing accurate financial reporting and analysis for leadership and key stakeholders, while partnering with the CFO and leading accounting and disbursement operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting department to ensure accurate and timely financial reports, monthly statements, annual audits, and budgets.
• Manage disbursement operations, including accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, expense reports, and payroll processing.
• Maintain cash controls and support payroll tax compliance as part of day-to-day disbursement responsibilities.
• Establish and maintain systems and controls to support data integrity, process accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Provide the CFO with accurate, timely financial information and support as requested.
• Lead special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
• Build positive relationships with hospital staff, customers, and the public; handle external customer communications as needed.
• Recommend accounting process improvements, policies, and procedures to the CFO.
• Follow all Healthcare System safety policies and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
• Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform sedentary work, including occasional lifting, filing, bending, and standing.
• Strong leadership, management, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Financial Management, Performance, Management, Accounting and Technical Expertise.
• Ethical Conduct and Integrity.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
