Finance Analyst

Finance Analyst role based in Plano, TX onsite with a Master degree in accounting and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end close, develop financial forecasts, deliver reports, and track operational metrics to support senior management decisions.
• Compile monthly P&L data for the CE service division and consolidate SEA service P&L data for the CSD monthly leadership meeting.
• Post expenses and manage accruals in accordance with accounting rules and principles.
• Assist in analyzing actual operating results at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, compare to forecasted plans, and present findings to the senior manager.
• Consolidate recurring and project expenditures by division to inform the annual management plan for the following year, using historical data, forecasting, and HQ guidelines.
• Produce financial reports to verify spending is managed within company policy, management plan, and the annual budget.
• Coordinate with PICs and project owners to identify drivers of expenditure increases or decreases and respond to inquiries from senior management and HQ.
• Support finance inquiries and help establish guidelines and policies for the CE SVC division regarding budget, expenses, travel, and related areas.
• Prepare monthly performance reports reconciled with HQ data and submit them to NAHQ.
• Manage accounts receivable open items by submitting claims to Samsung subsidiaries and reclassifying as needed.
• Record monthly manual journal entries for G/L allocations and adjust budgets for cost centers and G/L accounts.
• Review and establish approval paths in compliance with CE SVC guidelines.
• Issue official communications to the CE service division announcing regulations, compliance requirements, and guidelines.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Master degree in accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills with heavy use of spreadsheets in this role.
• SAP experience.
• Database extraction and data analysis experience.
• Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and grow with the team.
