Finance Analyst

FinanceJobs.io is featuring an onsite Finance Analyst role supporting credit decisioning and ongoing financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assess new and existing customers to determine creditworthiness and establish appropriate credit terms
• Evaluate credit applications using financial statements, payment history, credit reports, trade references, and other relevant information
• Collaborate with sales and management on higher-risk accounts and significant credit decisions
• Monitor credit performance metrics including accounts receivable aging, past-due balances, DSO, and credit utilization
• Maintain accurate documentation that supports credit decisions and ongoing account reviews
• Analyze core financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Produce recurring financial and management reports to surface trends, risks, and opportunities
• Track actual results versus budgets, forecasts, and prior periods
• Support leadership with financial analysis tied to investments, pricing, customer profitability, and business performance improvement opportunities
• Partner with management to evaluate business performance and identify initiatives to improve profitability and efficiency
• Identify cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities that do not negatively impact operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting
• Ability to create processes and conceptualize
• Freight experience strongly preferred
