Finance and Accounting, Contract Talent Practice Director
Job Description
The Practice Director for the Finance and Accounting Contract Talent practice is accountable for consistent performance, practice growth, and team leadership. This role combines business generation oversight with people management, recruiting participation, and ongoing alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain consistent above-average performance metrics for the practice.
- Provide business generation leadership, including motivation and direction for direct reports.
- Participate in recruiting efforts for new hires.
- Communicate effectively with all levels across the organization.
- Drive revenue-generating activities and overall practice group performance.
- Execute operational focus areas and meet productivity standards for both individuals and staff.
- Manage time effectively through planning and multi-tasking.
- Make quality decisions and reach target performance metrics for individuals and the team.
- Attract and source talent, and support training, development, and retention.
- Achieve pricing goals and quickly recognize and respond to business trends on a daily and weekly basis.
- Provide effective communication, including feedback, difficult messages, and expectations.
- Promote collaboration through a positive team culture, recognizing and celebrating successes while leading by example.
- Lead change efforts and facilitate resolution among internal staff, clients, and candidates.
- Conduct effective meetings and support customer retention and expansion strategy.
- Build customer loyalty through superior service.
- Lead with character by building trust, respect, and credibility through actions and behaviors.
- Promote and support an inclusive work environment and accept responsibility for personal actions and behaviors.
- Strive to understand and support others, follow through on commitments, and treat people fairly and consistently.
- Support business generation, revenue, and pricing goals based on location.
- Manage total headcount up to 4, including the practice director.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of talent solutions and/or management experience (or equivalent experience).
- Proven performance in a talent manager or director role.
- Demonstrated success in business generation and leading business development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and other technology systems.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
