Finance & Business Operations Specialist

Del Monaco Superfoods seeks a Finance and Business Operations Specialist to own the company’s financial workflow, payroll processes, onboarding, benefits administration, and internal systems. This onsite role in Stockton, California offers high visibility across the organization and direct collaboration with ownership.

Compensation and location

Salary: USD 25 - 28 per hour

Location: Stockton, CA (onsite)

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily QuickBooks Online activities to maintain accurate records
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable lifecycle
• Enter, review, and code vendor bills and invoices accurately
• Process bill payments and support collections follow-up
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and expense records
• Maintain clean, organized, audit-ready financial documentation
• Support monthly close preparation and coordinate with CPAs
• Administer payroll and related workforce systems
• Handle employee onboarding paperwork and maintain personnel files
• Assist with benefits administration, including HSA contributions and workers' compensation
• Track policy acknowledgments, leave management, and temporary labor administration
• Maintain licenses, permits, insurance certificates, and vendor paperwork
• Support document control, retain sample logs, and calibration records
• Coordinate lab submissions, nutritional testing, and compliance documentation
• Keep internal systems organized to scale with the business

Requirements

• 3+ years in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, or business operations
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience required
• High ownership mindset with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent organization, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities
