Finance Manager II

WCL Group is hiring a Finance Manager II in Bellevue, WA for an onsite contract role. In this position, you will supervise finance analyses tied to investment programs and support the organization’s accounting policies, reporting, and budgeting processes, including marketing budget planning and regulatory reporting.

Role summary

Finance Manager II directs accounting-related policies and procedures while managing marketing budget forecasting and financial reporting. The role also covers budget variance reporting and preparation of special reports for regulatory authorities, alongside support for month-end closing and financial position reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Account Team’s marketing budget, including consolidation of marketing program details from program owners to produce an overall account-level view.
• Forecast budget plans, reconcile planned budget versus actuals, and lead month-end closing with variance reporting.
• Categorize marketing spending, maintain a record of historical spend, and provide month-over-month (MoM), quarter-over-quarter (QoQ), and year-over-year (YoY) comparisons.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance on the marketing budget allocation process based on priority and business needs.
• Coordinate with program owners to prepare documentation for the approval process.
• Validate final deliverables against contract requirements, communicate issues to stakeholders as needed, develop solutions and recommendations, and lead payment.
• Direct preparation of financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses forecasting future earnings or expenses.
• Prepare special reports required by regulatory authorities.
• Direct organizational budgets to meet financial goals.
• Oversee investment of funds, manage associated risks, and supervise cash management activities.
• Execute capital-raising strategies to support firm expansion.
• Oversee the firm’s issuance of credit by establishing credit-rating criteria, determining credit ceilings, and monitoring collections of past-due accounts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related financial discipline required; an advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus related financial software.
• Strong understanding of traditional and digital marketing, audience relevance principles, and budget management with a focus on driving sales.
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Expert ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
• Expert knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and financial data reporting.
• Expert knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting.
