Salary: USD 51,800 to 95,900 per year. Pay type: Salaried and Commission. This role is based onsite in Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Support the achievement of sales and performance targets for new asset sales, joint appointments, fee-based sales, and financial planning.
- Execute business development strategies to win new business, including outbound calling campaigns, seminars, and leveraging branch referrals.
- Identify opportunities during client conversations to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products such as personal banking, lending, and investments.
- Implement a relationship management plan in partnership with the lead relationship manager.
- Assess client needs and deliver solutions through the sale of managed products and services.
- Develop recommendations aligned with business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Provide guidance to assigned business groups on the implementation of solutions.
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
- Help determine business priorities and the sequencing of strategy execution.
- Conduct independent analysis to resolve strategic issues.
- Coordinate activities for implementing strategic initiatives and track metrics and milestones.
- Manage databases and support analysis, forecasting, and data visualization in line with data governance standards.
- Break down strategic problems and analyze data to offer insights and recommendations.
- Monitor performance and address any issues that arise.
- Design and produce regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards.
- Develop change management plans and participate in initiatives including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment.
- Contribute to defining a communication plan to influence behavior, tailoring messaging, and selecting distribution channels.
- Provide input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service while executing assigned work.
- Identify business needs, design tools and training programs, and deliver training as needed.
- Use systems to manage information, including customized exception and tracking reports.
- Integrate information from multiple sources to enable efficient processes and enhanced reporting.
- Support the development and promotion of a business group program.
- Collaborate with the client relationship team to apply a consultative sales process and continually improve the client experience.
- Introduce clients to investment strategies and help develop a financial plan using applicable guidance tools.
- Communicate product developments and initiatives to sales management and the sales force.
- Coach and advise teammates through joint appointments and sharing product knowledge and sales tips.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure alignment across groups.
- Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard assets, protect privacy, and act in clients' best interests.
- Protect the bank's assets and comply with regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and focus on the business group within BMO, with potential enterprise-wide considerations.
- Exercise judgment to diagnose and solve problems within established guidelines, often handling complex or unique situations.
- Perform tasks independently and be prepared for broader responsibilities as needed.
- Apply the Risk Management Framework to take measured risks in line with risk culture and approved risk appetite, supporting business strategy and asset protection.
Requirements
- Typically 4 to 6 years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- FINRA licenses: Series 6, 63 and 65 or Series 7 and 66.
- Life and Health Insurance Producer’s License.
- Completed LTC Continuing Education Requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of the financial industry.
- Extensive experience with managed products and fee-based advice.
- Solid understanding of deposit and loan products, including mortgages, and banking services.
- Technical proficiency gained through education or practical experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
