Job Description
Financial Analyst role based in Leawood, KS onsite with Leslie Rudd Investment Company, partnering with executive leadership to analyze finances and support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to the executive team and key business stakeholders, translating financial and operational trends into clear, actionable guidance.
- Leverage multiple systems to generate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including KPIs and dashboards, to educate, monitor, and drive company results.
- Prepare GAAP compliant monthly and annual financial statements for leadership and stakeholder review.
- Investigate anomalies and material variances, delivering concise analysis and conclusions from financial results.
- Develop and support a broad range of finance and business processes required for an evolving organization, balancing multiple priorities.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, including pro forma statements and cash flow projections.
- Build and maintain financial models to assess sales initiatives, compensation structures, profitability, and pricing strategies.
- Complete ad hoc financial reporting requests for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with suppliers and sales leadership to design and implement sales incentive programs and total compensation models to drive profitable results for the organization and the sales team.
- Work with sales leaders to develop reports and incentive programs that support prudent inventory management.
- Monitor and report on supplier accounts receivable and supplier cooperative funds.
- Ensure cash collections are utilized in ways that advance company results.
- Use internal and external data to benchmark performance at aggregate, category, and brand levels.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of professional finance or accounting experience with hands-on financial modeling.
- Proven experience collaborating with both Finance/Accounting and Sales executives.
- Experience preferred in Food, Beverage, or consumer packaged goods industries.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to present and articulate financial data effectively to stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
- Strong ownership and initiative, with a proactive approach to improving financial reporting, performance, and operational efficiency.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
