Financial Analyst

This on-site Financial Analyst role in Auburn Hills, Michigan, centers on empowering Fleet finance with precise forecasting, robust controls, and clear financial insight. You will develop deep experience in Fleet operations, depreciation programs, and SOX compliance while contributing to Fleet profitability and governance.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, validate, and submit Fleet's monthly direct and indirect cash forecasts to North American Treasury.
• Consolidate, validate, and submit Fleet's weekly and monthly Best Estimate P&L submissions to NA FP&A.
• Manage fixed cost activity, develop budgets and forecasts for Fleet, and report monthly actuals with variance explanations between budgets and forecasts.
• Assist with consolidating, validating, and submitting actuals, forecasts, variances, and period-to-period explanations of Fleet's income statement to FP&A and management at all levels.
• Assist with the annual budget and long-range plan consolidation and submission to FP&A.
• Provide detailed analyses related to the Guaranteed Depreciation Program's auction risk or opportunities in collaboration with Fleet Finance Operational Controlling.
• Book monthly journal entries as needed.
• Serve as the liaison between Fleet Finance, North America FP&A, Corporate Finance Consolidation, and Internal Controls; act as the department’s SOX Champion.
• Monitor internal control procedures and coordinate the SOX certification process.
• Provide support for internal and external audits as needed.
• Handle ad hoc and special projects as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
• Working knowledge of accounting principles
• Experience with audit, SOX, FP&A and/or internal controls
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical capabilities
