Financial Analyst

LightEdge is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its onsite team in Kansas City. The role centers on monthly reporting, annual budgeting, and strategic financial analysis to equip executives with actionable insights for decision making. Reporting to the VP of Strategic Finance, this position turns data into strategic guidance across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Compile monthly and quarterly performance reports for executives and the board
• Contribute to annual budget development and quarterly forecast updates
• Maintain a long-range financial model to support strategic planning
• Perform financial analyses to inform strategic decisions and business choices
• Identify trends in financial performance and propose improvement actions
• Monitor KPIs and provide analyses on various metrics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze customer data, sales performance, product margins, and capacity planning
• Support ad hoc strategic analyses and reporting requests from departments across the company

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent field is required
• 1-2+ years of experience in strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting
• Strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience working with large datasets and building financial models
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
