Job Description
Wellborn Cabinet offers an on-site Financial Analyst role in Ashland, Alabama within the Finance Organization. You will support month-end close, SAP-based reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and provide financial direction to drive site performance. The position involves preparing reports for leadership, analyzing variances, and partnering with cross-functional teams to align with corporate objectives. Responsibilities
- Prepare reports for leadership and stakeholders covering sales, cost, and profitability
- Assist in cost allocation methodologies and ensure accurate department-wide expense assignments
- Support the month-end close by running SAP reports, posting journal entries, and guiding SAP processes
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals and strategies
- Assist with scenario planning and risk analysis
- Analyze variances and communicate explanations to management
- Extract and validate financial data using SAP (FI/CO, CO-PA, or S/4HANA) for reporting and analysis
- Improve and streamline SAP reporting processes, including automation and standardization
- Work across organizational boundaries to achieve corporate objectives
- Ensure proper accounting in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements
- Provide weekly reporting of sales by product line
- Assist with updating annual cost standards
- Update special pricing scenarios in SAP
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques, plus proficiency in financial statement analysis and projection
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Cost accounting experience
- Strong MS Office skills and hands-on SAP experience
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities
- Strong analytical skills
- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP financial modules (FI/CO required; CO strongly preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Capability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from the business
- Strong communication skills to engage with management, peers, and staff
- Commitment to high personal and professional integrity and ethical business behavior
