Job Description
Based in Midland, TX, 3S Services, LLC invites you to join the Financial Analyst role on-site. You’ll analyze financial performance and equipment utilization within the Facility Construction and Dirt Work Departments to support information‑driven decisions that reduce financial loss and boost profitability. Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze trends in financial performance and clearly communicate insights.
- Provide guidance and model financial implications for new business or rate changes on existing work.
- Seek opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Support corporate teams during customer audits.
- Develop and maintain crew cost builds, including direct and indirect costs.
- Monitor costs on all awarded projects and brief the respective Business Unit Directors.
- Assist with rate negotiations alongside customer procurement.
- Review weekly equipment utilization reports to justify underutilized assets, designate as MIA or reallocate, and flag unreported or unbilled usage for the Business Unit Director.
- Collaborate with the Rental Equipment Manager to ensure rentals are billed at the correct rates.
- Assess equipment needs to inform rent-or-buy decisions and reallocate underutilized assets.
- Provide daily POC snapshots to Project Managers to support consistent cost-to-completion tracking.
- Perform duties as directed by the Financial Director and Vice President of Finance.
- Assist in reconciling accounts receivable disputes.
- Conduct in-depth research such as change-order analysis on bid jobs and crew margin analysis.
- Calculate daily truck costs and other overhead components.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by the company.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience with data analytics
- Experience compiling data and creating financial statements
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining timely communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with ERP systems
- Prefer experience with Viewpoint ERP
- Proven ability to learn and apply new ERP or accounting software
- Ability to manage people and reprioritize daily tasks
