Job Description
The Financial Analyst position at Consumer Directed Choices emphasizes turning data into actionable insights to support budgeting, forecasts, and scenario planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting cycle, providing the underlying rationale and performing budget variance analysis using statistical methods, multi-year forecasting models, and data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather inputs, analyze financial data, and develop realistic budgets.
- Assess and plan departmental budgets, delivering actionable analyses to managers.
- Regularly monitor and update forecasts to align with business goals and market conditions.
- Conduct budget-to-actual variance analyses to inform realistic budgeting and keep senior leadership updated.
- Oversee forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and strategic analysis.
- Build and maintain comprehensive forecast models using P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow information to support strategic planning and day-to-day decisions.
- Perform financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting, and communicate results to support efficient financial operations.
- Review analysis outputs and propose investment, sourcing, and cost-reduction recommendations.
- Mine data to develop KPIs and apply them in financial models, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Gather data and monitor fiscal performance through internal systems and spreadsheets, presenting visuals for internal and external use including committee and board meetings.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- At least three years of financial analysis experience.
- SQL experience is highly preferred.
