Financial Analyst

Join Harlingen Medical Center in an onsite Financial Analyst role reporting to the Hospital CFO. This position supports senior management by delivering timely, accurate financial information, reporting, and financial projections, helping turn data into action across the organization.

What you’ll do

Working under the Hospital CFO, you will complete and analyze financial and statistical reporting in support of senior management’s goals and objectives. A key focus of the role is ensuring financial information stays current, reliable, and properly communicated through ongoing reporting and projection activities.

• Complete and analyze financial and statistical reporting in support of senior management goals and objectives
• Ensure timely and accurate financial information, financial reporting, and financial projection activities

What you bring

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Accounting or Finance
• Master’s Degree in Business or Finance related field preferred
• Six to ten (6-10) years accounting/finance experience required
• Hospital/healthcare accounting/finance experience highly preferred
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prepare financial statements and financial projections
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in business software applications, including EPIC, Lawson, Microsoft Excel and Word
• Working knowledge of Windows-based personal computers
• Public accounting experience and strong knowledge of GAAP (highly preferred)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred)
