Financial Consultant

This onsite, full-time Financial Consultant role is based at the Southside Branch in Santa Fe, NM, and features a 37 to 40 hour workweek. In this position, you provide consultative financial guidance to members, educate on value‑added products, and refer to business services, mortgage, home equity lending, and investment services.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with their financial needs through a consultative, needs-based approach
• Identify and educate members on value-added products and services to meet individual needs, including opening and closing accounts or memberships, consumer loans (excluding home loan products), and answering questions about products and services
• Refer members to specialized departments as needed
• Support the Teller line as needed
• Handle problem resolution within your authority
• Process transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, laws and regulations, with a high degree of accuracy

Requirements

• Three to five years of similar or related experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of Teller and Platform Operations
• Ability to provide exceptional service
• Accuracy in numbers, procedural detail, processing, and balancing negotiable instruments
• Capacity to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, manage sensitive information, and resolve problems
• Effective communication with internal and external customers in person and via email
