Job Description
Logix Federal Credit Union is hiring a Financial Consultant to support client goals and drive investment sales through LFCU Brokerage & Insurance Services. This onsite role in Valencia, CA focuses on meeting monthly sales targets by connecting with members, identifying financial needs, and delivering guidance across investment products.
Reporting to the credit union’s sales and advisory functions, the Financial Consultant will also handle key operational tasks, coordinate educational seminars, and ensure all activity follows applicable regulatory requirements. The position offers USD 52,728 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively prospect the credit union membership to identify potential clients.
- Develop member leads through marketing and referral programs for sales staff.
- Comply with all regulatory FINRA and State Insurance laws and regulations.
- Process new account applications.
- Coordinate and present financial information seminars at the credit union or other locations.
- Process ticket orders and other operational paperwork in a timely manner.
- Cross-sell products and services offered at the credit union.
- Generate a minimum of $20,000 gross commissions monthly or meet an assigned goal.
- Meet with members to explain the features and benefits of mutual funds, annuities, and other investment related products.
- Ensure risk profiles, goals, objectives, and asset allocations are aligned and accurately reflected for each client.
- Deliver a full range of investment products and services aligned to client goals and strategies, leveraging specialists and applicable investment management tools where appropriate.
- Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to both members and co-workers.
- Adhere to the member experience standards defined by management.
- Work closely with other credit union departments and maintain positive relationships.
- Report to work consistently, on time, as scheduled.
Requirements
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree (bachelors degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the securities industry.
- At least three years recent sales experience offering mutual funds, annuities, and insurance products.
- Thorough knowledge of financial markets as they relate to securities and insurance sales and marketing.
- Ability to collect and analyze data and analyze periodic financial and insurance-related products.
- Community involvement is considered a plus.
- California Life Only Insurance agent’s and variable contract licenses are required.
- NASD series 7, 63, 65 and/or 66 licenses are required.
- Series 6 and 63 may be considered with extensive experience.
- Advanced industry accreditation such as CFP, CRPC, or AAMS is required.
- Qualified candidates without required credentials must be able to obtain them within six (6) months of hire.
- Working experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products.
