Financial Controller

Lyra Technology Group seeks a Financial Controller to lead finance and accounting within the Integrated Technology Group, based in Lynchburg, VA with remote work options, at an annual salary of USD 75,000.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee finance and accounting initiatives, including budgeting, audits, and month-end close, in compliance with US GAAP.
• Direct daily accounting functions across General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Invoicing, Fixed Assets, Collections, Monthly Reconciliations, Sales and Use Tax, and participate in these processes as needed.
• Oversee Accounting Operations, including systems and processes, achieve goals, and manage special projects.
• Maintain and update accounting and finance standard operating procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement new processes.
• Own financial reporting for internal, corporate, and peer-group requirements.
• Contribute hands-on to customer billing, collections, monthly and annual price changes, and billing-related incentives and commissions.
• Manage relationships with key business stakeholders such as banks, landlords, vendors, and suppliers.
• Oversee the relationship with the PEO, including annual employee benefits renewal and open enrollment.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting is required.
• Self-motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented problem solver, comfortable rolling up your sleeves in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
• Ability to perform as an individual contributor, project lead, and liaison between holding company and company employees and leadership.
