Financial Controller

The Financial Controller at NewCold supports the finance function for the U.S. region site in Macon, GA. Reporting to the Area Controller, the role partners closely with Operations and focuses on continuous improvement across reporting, control processes, and compliance coordination. As an on-site position, it may also include occasional travel to other locations.

Role and reporting

• Manage site finance functions for the U.S. region and report to the Area Controller.
• Collaborate with Operations with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Support cross-functional coordination across multiple departments and outside service providers.

Core responsibilities

• Manage the control cycle, including AOP, monthly reporting, and forecast activities.
• Coordinate and submit reporting packages.
• Monitor site financial results and work with the Operations leadership team to identify and execute improvement ideas.
• Provide guidance and financial expertise across departments to support future growth.
• Maintain a cost-conscious culture while continuing to support high levels of customer service.
• Work with managers on improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs.
• Maintain records in line with approved policies, state and federal laws, and industry best practices.
• Build and maintain strong internal controls.
• Ensure finance deliverables are addressed by required deadlines.
• Coordinate with external service providers, including Accounting, Tax, and Benefits, to ensure auditing and compliance requirements are met.
• Adhere to monthly and annual financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management comments.
• Complete internal reporting and communications as required.
• Support timely and accurate completion of weekly cash flow projections.
• Assist in annual budget completion with Finance and Operations.
• Support the shared service center on recurring accounting transactions and the closing process.
• Review accounting records for accuracy.
• Work with outside finance service providers related to local, regional, and national compliance and deadlines.
• Coordinate execution of policies with the regional office and global headquarters, including items such as taxes, fees, and incentives.
