Job Description
This in-person Financial Planner role at Wilkinson Wealth Management in Charlottesville, VA focuses on developing financial plans, gathering and organizing client data, entering information into planning software, analyzing progress toward client goals, presenting results, and producing written deliverables with potential client presentations.
Responsibilities
- Collect financial data from clients using established processes and assess completeness, identifying any missing information
- Enter data into financial planning software, noting necessary assumptions along the way
- Leverage client goals and planning software to build scenarios and evaluate the likelihood of plan success
- Present analysis results to internal and external stakeholders, tailoring explanations to the audience's level of sophistication
- Draft written financial plans documenting the planning process for client delivery
- Follow up with clients to ensure implementation of financial planning recommendations
- Collect metrics and data on financial planning operations as directed by management
- Manage operational components of planning, including sending agreements for electronic signature, setting up clients in planning systems, and tracking payments
- Document activities and update CRM records as appropriate
- Support overall office operations, including limited marketing support, answering phones, resolving urgent client issues, and staying aware of other processes
- Adhere to all relevant rules and regulations to maintain high levels of compliance and security
- Prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with clients, advisors, and staff to meet timely service expectations
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices and participate in ongoing development of planning techniques
Experience and Education
- 2 years of direct experience in financial planning, or an undergraduate or graduate degree in financial planning, or the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ designation
