Job Description
Extreme Transportation Inc offers an on-site financial planning and analysis leadership role in Duluth, GA. You will partner with operations and executive leadership to drive profitability, efficiency, and strategic decision-making across the business. The position features a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $120,000 per year, plus a benefits package including a 401(k), health insurance, vision insurance, and paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting cycle and monthly forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery.
- Develop forecasts for revenue, labor, transportation, and operating expenses.
- Prepare long-range financial plans and scenario analyses to inform decision-making.
- Oversee budgeting processes across departments, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast targets.
- Analyze profitability by transportation type, customer, region, and route.
- Use business intelligence tools to enhance financial reporting and support data-driven decisions across departments.
- Evaluate fuel, labor, fleet, and transportation costs to identify optimization opportunities.
- Perform variance analyses and present explanations of results to management.
- Support pricing strategies and contract profitability assessments.
- Improve forecasting accuracy and the efficiency of financial reporting processes.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to inform decision-making.
- Develop dashboards and track key logistics metrics to enable clear visibility into performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–8+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, supply chain, or warehousing preferred.
- Proficiency with financial software systems and business intelligence tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of logistics cost drivers and operational KPIs.
