Financial Services Associate
Job Description
The Financial Services Associate role is a contract-to-hire position focused on phone-based B2B support for financial advisors serving banks and credit unions. The work includes assisting advisors with account-related processes, answering IRA and stock questions, escalating specialized needs, and accurately recording activity in a CRM.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver phone-based business-to-business customer support to financial advisors at banks and credit unions.
- Handle approximately 45 inbound calls per day, with average call length of 5–6 minutes.
- Assist financial professionals with navigating internal systems and platforms.
- Support account opening and related documentation, including brokerage operations, advisory accounts, transfers, dividend distributions, and other account-related needs.
- Answer questions regarding IRAs, stocks, accounts, and general financial services processes using available resources and procedures.
- Recognize inquiries that require specialized assistance and transfer calls to appropriate teams, such as annuities, trading, or other specialized departments.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with financial professionals within an assigned region.
- Research questions thoroughly and provide accurate, timely responses.
- Handle complex or escalated service issues professionally and efficiently.
- Document customer interactions accurately in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Meet established call-handling, quality, and scheduling expectations.
- Resolve inquiries independently while partnering with teammates and other departments as needed.
- Support departmental projects and additional assignments as required.
- Provide process or system-navigation support to others as knowledge and experience grow.
- Complete approximately six weeks of hands-on training with members of the support center team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening.
- Ability to communicate professionally and confidently by phone.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accurate information.

Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of call center or high-volume phone-based customer service experience.
- 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous banking, financial services, or related industry experience.
- Experience using CRM or customer service software.
- Experience resolving customer concerns or handling escalated inquiries.
- Familiarity with brokerage, investment, banking, or retirement account concepts.
- Previous financial services experience is not required.
