Job Description

Bank of America, based in San Marcos, CA, is seeking a Financial Solutions Advisor to provide comprehensive financial guidance and tailored solutions to clients, with a salary range of USD 70,000 - 80,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a client financial plan that incorporates brokerage products such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and annuities, along with banking and money management solutions.
  • Recommends banking and investment strategies aligned with the client’s goals and needs.
  • Assesses client requests and refers them to appropriate internal service providers based on needs and asset thresholds.
  • Identifies and mitigates risk as part of daily activities.
  • Proactively identifies potential new clients through referrals or by engaging existing financial center clientele.
  • Provides coaching and feedback to referral partners based on knowledge of client needs and recommended product services.

Requirements

  • Holds current Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, or Series 63 and 65 in lieu of 66, with the requirement to pass the missing series within 60 days if applicable.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the investments industry, including investment training and in-depth knowledge of investment products and services.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the financial services industry or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded.
  • Demonstrates goal setting and achievement, builds and nurtures strong relationships, and collaborates effectively with others.
  • Effective and confident communication skills; comfortable engaging with all clients.
  • Ability to manage goals, navigate complexity, prioritize tasks, and execute in a fast paced environment.
  • Shows a willingness to learn, adapts to new information, and seeks optimal solutions for clients.
  • Strong time management and capacity planning abilities.
  • Thorough in applying regulatory due diligence to daily activities and long term client strategies.
  • Education: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.
