Location and compensation: Boise, ID, onsite. Hourly salary range of USD 30 to 34.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze revenues and expenditures
  • Execute Luma month and year end closing activities
  • Perform in-house financial reviews for agency programs
  • Coordinate with state and federal agencies to complete transactions and resolve issues
  • Coordinate and prepare grant claims, including Veterans Affairs construction grant claims
  • Review reports for accuracy
  • Assist staff with fiscal policy, procedures, and training as needed
  • Prepare monthly and yearly reconciliations
  • Prepare responses to state and federal audit questions and findings
  • Work on special projects as needed
  • Process and approve Luma financial transactions including travel, cash receipts, projects, accounts payable, etc.
  • Prepare adjusting entries as needed
  • Prepare general ledger reconciliations and ad hoc financial reports
  • Review financial processes and procedures and recommend improvements
  • Review internal controls and suggest enhancements as business needs evolve
  • Prepare training documents as needed
  • Supervise financial staff and conduct performance appraisals
  • Conduct training of Luma financial modules

Requirements

  • Understanding of accounting and auditing principles and practices
  • Typically 5 to 7 years of accounting or financial experience or a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Experience with Luma financial modules
  • Ability to interpret federal and state regulations
  • Experience developing and preparing financial documents
  • Proficiency with personal computers, with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze financial activities and recommend management action
