Job Description
voestalpine Precision Strip LLC seeks a Head of Finance to guide financial strategy and oversee finance and HR-related functions at the Pleasant Prairie site, working closely with operations to drive efficient and profitable performance. This onsite role in Pleasant Prairie, WI offers a salary range of USD 120,000 to 140,000 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with at least eight years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting; ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance; maintain internal financial controls; oversee timely month‑end and year‑end closings.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that support company goals; analyze economic trends and market conditions to identify growth opportunities; support long‑term capital planning and financial modeling for future site and organizational development.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity for operations; develop strategies to optimize cash management and maximize financial efficiency; improve working capital across receivables, payables, and inventory processes.
- Team Leadership (Including HR Oversight): Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team; partner with HR to support organizational development, training, and compliance with employment regulations; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies; ensure compliance with internal standards, audits, and financial regulations; oversee internal and external audit activities and drive timely resolution of findings.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial performance, strategy, and insights to executives, operational leaders, and the board of directors; prepare clear, well‑structured financial presentations and reports for stakeholder meetings; serve as a key advisor to leadership by providing actionable financial insights and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience overseeing or partnering closely with Human Resources.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, cost accounting, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, matrixed organization.
