Job Description
The Lead Planner role at Zynergy Retirement Planning seeks a Certified Financial Planner to lead client engagements, develop holistic financial plans, and coordinate investment, tax, and legacy planning activities. This position works within a collaborative team to support Senior and Associate Planners while delivering tailored guidance to members.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct regular member meetings, including annual or semiannual reviews to assess changes in member situations.
- Explain complex financial concepts in clear terms to support informed member decisions.
- Respond promptly to member inquiries with accurate and helpful information.
- Develop customized financial plans that align with members' short-term and long-term goals.
- Provide investment advice based on members' objectives and risk tolerance.
- Monitor and adjust investment portfolios to stay aligned with goals and market conditions.
- Advise on comprehensive financial planning across cash flow, budgeting, retirement, investments, estate planning, tax planning, education planning, and risk management.
- Collaborate with tax advisors, estate planners, and other professionals to deliver integrated guidance.
- Support Senior Planners by handling behind-the-scenes planning work and attending meetings with transitioning members.
- Assist in training junior planners to expand team capabilities.
Requirements
- CFP Certification (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree (Required) in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field; additional professional certifications are a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in financial planning or advisory roles with direct client engagement.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, investment strategies, retirement planning, tax laws, and estate planning.
- Strong analytical ability to assess risk and develop effective financial strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Proven relationship-building skills to establish trust and understand client needs and goals.
- Ability to identify financial issues and craft creative solutions tailored to individual situations.
- Familiarity with financial planning software and technology tools; experience with Salesforce, eMoney, and Orion/Eclipse is useful but not required.
- Enhanced expertise in retirement planning, tax strategy, or estate planning.
