Job Description

- Exposure to monthly closes, annual audits, cost reports and budget processes, supporting professional growth within finance
Responsibilities
- Daily bank account reconciliation and transaction entry
- Monthly journal entries and preparation of month end financials
- Monthly and ad hoc reporting to leadership and managers, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for operational efficiency
- Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts, especially bank accounts and payroll liabilities
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies
- Assist with vendor statement reconciliation to ensure accurate Accounts Payable balances
- Assist Staff Accountants and Accounting Assistant as needed
- Participate and provide assistance in the Annual Audit, Cost Report and Budget processes, including preparing documentation as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3-5 years’ related accounting experience; healthcare preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools
- Understanding of internal controls and testing
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills

Physical Demands
Required to stand and / or walk frequently, handle light materials, maintain close visual attention, concentration, and computer keyboard use.
