Senior Analyst - BCG Vantage, Corporate Finance & Strategy

The Senior Analyst role within BCG’s Corporate Finance & Strategy (CFS) practice and the Center for CFO Excellence (CFOx) team supports client work across CFO-related value creation, performance management, and finance transformation. Based in Dallas, TX (onsite), this position helps deliver analyses and knowledge assets that inform corporate planning and decision-making.

Role Overview

In this global, growing team, you will deliver value to clients across CFO-related products and opportunities, ranging from value creation strategy to performance management, digital finance, and lean/agile working culture in finance. You will work with topic and core consulting teams to produce client-ready analyses and insights, and to support engagements and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver client value across CFO related products and opportunities, including value creation strategy, performance management, digital finance, and lean/agile working culture in finance.
• Define and shape the role of the finance organization by transforming finance into an efficient and effective function, steering finance costs, and enabling relevant decisions.
• Support enablement of value creation and facilitation of corporate planning decisions, including measures designed to align corporate, financial, and investor strategies.
• Act as a domain expert to provide customized knowledge of best-in-class practices during client engagements.
• Develop solutions to address critical client issues and chart a path to continuously enhance performance.
• Produce high-quality, client-ready analytical outputs and communicate findings with clarity and confidence.
• Collaborate with topic teams to develop and maintain new knowledge materials based on emerging trends and gaps identified by consulting teams.
• Contribute to cross-topic work by building tools, analyses, and insights that support new approaches to thinking and problem-solving.
• Serve as a topic champion alongside core consulting teams in client engagements, bringing core domain expertise and supporting staffing demand for repeat engagements.
• Own and drive successful completion of a module in client projects.
• Generate insights during team discussions to frame and structure client issues, and support improvements across the client organization.
• Enhance client deliverables through high-quality analyses and informed business judgment, including recommending alternative or additional analyses to expand scope and uncover new insight.
• Demonstrate slide-writing and story-lining skills to create client-ready materials.
• Concisely synthesize and present analysis and findings to project teams and clients, including leading workshops with client teams.
• Support proposal development by guiding consulting teams on transformation approach, BCG capabilities, relevant past case credentials, and expert involvement.
• Build and update customized, topic-related knowledge products, maintain consistency across knowledge management databases, and review knowledge products to ensure they remain current and relevant.
• Write abstracts and indexes for projects and practice documents, and support intellectual capital development projects including studies, articles, and other publications.

Required Qualifications

• Experience and/or knowledge in at least one of the following areas: finance organization (including shared services), finance transformation, external and internal reporting, corporate governance, performance management, planning, budgeting and target setting, corporate risk management, or similar.
• Familiarity with financial and non-financial benchmarking analyses, including profitability, capital structure, liquidity, and cash flow performance.
• Deep end-to-end expertise in at least two finance process towers, such as Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Financial Planning & Analysis, Cash & Banking/Treasury, Payroll, Fixed Assets, or equivalent.
• Confident client presence and ability to build relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a collaborative service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and maintain discretion when needed.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in management consulting, financial management, controlling & reporting, treasury, accounting & audit, corporate development, corporate finance, or other equivalent areas.
• Master’s degree in business administration, corporate finance, accounting, mathematics (or similar) with very good academic achievements and/or CPA with a management consulting background.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: USD 124,800 - 129,000 per year

US Compensation Transparency Approach

Total compensation includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market-leading benefits package. The base salary range for this role in Dallas is USD 124,800.00–129,000.00. In addition to base salary, total compensation may include a bonus of up to 24% and a retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
