Senior Associate - Corporate Finance - Turnaround & Restructuring

What you’ll do

• Support BRG Corporate Finance – Turnaround & Restructuring client service teams with day-to-day engagement activities.
• Execute multiple tasks across consulting engagements, including financial modeling and client presentations.
• Apply business, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to build and analyze models, including 13-week cash flow models, 3-statement models, and pro-forma scenario models.
• Collaborate with Turnaround & Restructuring and BRG experts, as well as professionals from other firms and client stakeholders, to meet engagement objectives.
• Assist in creating reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
• Help grow a fast-moving consulting practice by supporting marketing efforts, client pitches, and product and practice development.
• Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, quality, and integrity throughout client work.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree or degree equivalent in a related field (Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or similar).
• 3+ years of work experience, ideally in consulting or professional services.
• Hands-on experience in financial modeling and analysis, especially in Excel, including building and understanding 3-statement models, cash flows, and scenario analysis.
• Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data.
• Skill in interpreting qualitative and quantitative analysis to develop insights and recommendations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with an ability to interact with junior and senior team members, senior management, and other stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and project management capabilities.
• CFA, CPA (or equivalent), or technical and GAAP accounting expertise is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Familiarity with financial research tools such as Capital IQ and Bloomberg (or similar).
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Ability to provide verification of legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
