Job Description

HealthPoint is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Renton, WA campus on site. The role centers on financial planning and analysis in partnership with operational leaders and senior management, with particular emphasis on grant-funded programs and regulatory reporting. The position offers a salary range of USD 88,570 to 142,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts alongside the team of financial analysts.
  • Analyze operating unit and organizational financial statements, including revenue and expense, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement through financial modeling and analysis.
  • Prepare pre-award grant budgets and analyze budget-to-actual results with fund development, program stakeholders, and the grants management team.
  • Communicate financial results to internal stakeholders, including senior leaders, using narratives, visuals, and discussions.
  • Aggregate data from multiple sources to present results and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Develop ad hoc financial models incorporating data from disparate systems.
  • Coordinate and prepare financial reporting components for annual regulatory submissions to the Health Care Authority and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
  • Administer the financial planning and analysis system and related internal controls.
  • Maintain good attendance, punctuality, and full scheduled shifts as conditions of employment.

  • Support treasury management development within the FP&A team and the implementation and maintenance of a new FP&A system, including stakeholder adoption.
  • Assist with renewing the organization's annual risk management policies and participate in staff meetings and relevant committees as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with four to six years of relevant financial analysis and budgeting experience, plus two years working with grants or government contracts (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or analytical fields (Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science) is a plus. Two or more years' experience in structured programs such as public accounting in audit or consulting, as well as not-for-profit and healthcare industry experience, are beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, management accounting, economic concepts, and financial analyses; proficiency with financial planning systems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret industry journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Capability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or the business community, and to present information to top management, clients, external groups, or boards of directors.
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficiency in interpreting a variety of technical instructions and formulating actionable short- to long-term solutions with implementation plans.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; advanced Excel capabilities and the ability to analyze data from disparate systems.
  • CPA, CFA, or CGMA certification is not required but highly desirable.
