Responsibilities

• Support business partners during negotiations and the RFP process, delivering financial analyses that inform vendor selection and contract terms
• Execute analyses that illuminate cost drivers and trade offs, guiding procurement decisions with clear data and insights
• Support business reviews with senior leaders, preparing materials and contributing to procurement strategy discussions
• Solve difficult problems with limited guidance, learning when to escalate and delivering timely solutions
• Optimize team processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, implementing solutions that boost efficiency
• Build expertise in the procurement landscape, developing knowledge of spend patterns and sourcing opportunities

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy
• 3+ years contributing to cross functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy
• Experience identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business

About the Team

The Global Procurement Organization (GPO) handles the source to pay process for non inventory goods and services needed to facilitate Amazon's supply chain. Our Finance team partners with GPO and focuses on improving scalability and efficiency. We deliver analyses that impact pricing frameworks for future contract negotiations and the RFP process for GPO categories across Operations Capex and Opex. GPO Finance is engaged throughout each stage of the procurement lifecycle.
