Job Description

CBRE is seeking a Sr. Finance Analyst in Phoenix, AZ on-site to apply advanced cash and accrual accounting for the preparation, evaluation, and delivery of complete, accurate financial reports across a diverse client and property portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Execute intermediate to advanced-level accounting transactions to assemble client financial statement packages.
  • Prepare and post journal entries; ensure expenses, receipts, owner distributions, funding requests, and other period transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Generate and review financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting.
  • Schedule and deliver packages on time to clients and management teams.
  • Review funding and payment requests for accuracy, documentation, and authorization per established procedures.
  • Respond to and resolve complex accounting questions and requests from management teams and clients.
  • Identify potential issues or conflicts and take corrective action to minimize impact.
  • Coordinate maintenance and reporting of benchmarks and performance metrics.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard accounting principles and procedures to complete tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of your role and collaborate with related disciplines within the function.
  • Model CBRE RISE values in daily work and interactions.
  • Support reaching agreements when appropriate to align stakeholders.
  • Influence the quality of personal work and that of teammates.
  • Operate within standardized procedures and practices to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Explain complex information in straightforward terms to colleagues and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve moderately complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply sound judgment and precedents.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an inquisitive, proactive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills and numerical aptitude.
  • Ability to calculate complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial calculations.
