Staff Financial Analyst

Qualcomm is hiring a Staff Financial Analyst to support the finance function for the Mobile, Compute, and XWP (MCX) organization. This onsite role in San Diego, CA sits within the MCX finance team and provides financial support across multiple business areas, including FP&A and marketing budget support.

In this position, you will help translate business performance into actionable insights through forecasting analysis, deep financial reviews, and model-driven planning. The role also includes contributions to pricing strategy for new products and ad hoc special projects that support MCX initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze BU performance by assessing key business metrics and identifying drivers of financial results
• Perform actual vs. forecast analysis to track performance and explain variances
• Conduct deep-dive analysis into multiple elements of the financial statements
• Establish and support pricing strategy and structure for new products
• Review customer contracts to support financial and commercial decisions
• Collaborate with cross-departmental partners, including sales, product management, and legal
• Build, improve, and maintain complex financial models
• Support ad hoc special projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of work experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may substitute for up to two years of work experience (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 7+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience
• 2+ years of experience interacting with senior leadership (for example, Director level and above)
• 2+ years working in a large, matrixed organization
• 2+ years in a leadership role, with or without direct reports

• USD 109,400 - 164,200 annual pay range
