Financial Analyst

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is hiring an entry-level Financial Analyst to join its Finance team in Austin, TX on a full-time onsite basis. In this role, you will help strengthen profitability by supporting cost-saving initiatives, maintaining budget discipline, and improving investment-related decision-making through analysis and reporting.

The position centers on core finance activities such as forecasting, P&L closing, and periodic financial analysis. You will also contribute to annual planning and budgeting, prepare research focused on financial performance and cost reduction opportunities, and provide ad-hoc reporting that supports management and executive reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct financial forecasting, annual business planning, and rolling plans, including variance analysis and account reconciliation to support strategic decision-making.
• Run the monthly P&L closing process and support period-end closings for month, quarter, and year in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Prepare in-depth financial analyses and research related to financial performance and cost-saving measures.
• Support the annual budgeting process and participate in cost-saving activities in coordination with team leaders.
• Provide essential business information and generate ad-hoc reports requested by management.
• Assist with preparing materials for management reviews and meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited university.
• CPA or CFA certification is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset, advanced financial modeling skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Compensation and Eligibility

• Base pay range for this role is USD 65,000 - 107,000 per year.
• Base compensation depends on education, experience, skills, and location.
• Total compensation may include participation in company incentive compensation programs based on organizational and individual performance, along with a competitive benefits package.
• Eligible full-time employees (salaried or hourly) may receive MBO bonuses based on company, division, and individual performance.
