Staff Technical Data Analyst - Finance

Based in Mountain View, California, this on-site role offers a salary range of USD 166,000 to 232,500 per year. In the Finance Analytics & Systems team, the Staff Technical Data Analyst applies creative problem solving, strong data and analytical skills, and finance acumen to deliver enterprise-scale analytics and support executive decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with FP&A teams to understand analytics needs and deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Collect and analyze data from diverse sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external feeds.
• Develop and maintain data models and algorithms that enable scalable insights.
• Apply statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies across the business.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Design and implement data collection systems to optimize data quality and efficiency.
• Provide recommendations to improve data collection and analysis processes.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analysis techniques and tools.
• Build subject matter expertise and finance acumen to contextualize analytics for leadership.
• Narrate complex data stories concisely, highlighting insights and their impact on business outcomes for leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and deadlines.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a data analytics role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced data visualization tools (Qlik Sense preferred or similar); SQL skills for data manipulation, querying, and performance tuning. Experience with Databricks and data integration.
• Familiarity with AWS (Redshift, Athena); knowledge of Python and JavaScript is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with colleagues across the business with varying technical expertise.
