Strategic Finance

Strategic Finance role at Anduril Industries onsite in Costa Mesa, CA, focused on owning high-priority financial analyses, partnering with cross-functional teams, and building pricing frameworks and financial models to support major initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own projects end-to-end from Definition through Solution to Implementation, tackling ambiguous problems with minimal guidance.
• Run rapid, scrappy analyses to deliver quick answers while developing scalable approaches for long-term success.
• Project manage across numerous stakeholders, leading meetings and coordinating channels to move initiatives forward.
• Collaborate across functions to learn Anduril’s business end-to-end, engaging with Finance, Growth, Engineering, Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, HR, Recruiting, and more.
• Own detailed financial models from data gathering and material creation to presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Develop P&L models for products, lines of business, divisions, and acquisitions.
• Craft novel financial frameworks to evaluate operational decisions in areas like facilities, manufacturing, and supply chain.
• Examples include building a 10-year model for a new product consideration and framing capital allocation and capital structure decisions.
• Assess international opportunities and develop pricing frameworks for technologies the US government has not previously acquired.
• Construct models to justify pricing levels and demonstrate impact on Anduril and customers.
• Brainstorm monetization approaches for Anduril products and technology.
• Embed deeply with engineering, sales, and proposals teams on major efforts.
• Examples include determining pricing for a new Dive-LD variant and structuring software license pricing for drone autonomy.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts.
• Excellent analytical aptitude with the ability to translate problems into strategic, actionable insights.
• Proven ability to execute analyses quickly in Excel.
• Self-driven and relentlessly proactive; you act without needing direction and can pace yourself to meet urgent needs.
• Capable of stepping in to solve problems without waiting for others to act.
• Ability to quantify complex, often ambiguous problems.
• Willingness to learn and use corporate systems (Salesforce) and analytical/dashboarding tools (Palantir Foundry).
• Comfortable communicating broadly with many eyes on your work, including senior leadership.
• Appreciation for a flexible culture that accommodates personal appointments, while staying responsive to messages and urgent requests.
• U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.
