Job Description
Thomas University seeks a senior finance executive to assume the role of Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. This leadership position directs the University’s financial operations, including budget stewardship, long-range planning, financial accounting, endowment and cash management, debt oversight, risk and contract management, and serves as Treasurer and the administrative liaison to the Finance and Endowment, Audit, and Property and Facilities Committees.
Responsibilities
- As a member of the Leadership Team, the Vice President for Finance acts as the Chief Financial Officer with responsibility for the University’s operating budget, financial planning, financial accounting, endowment management, cash management, the management of institutional debt, risk management, and contract management.
- Oversee other departments as needed.
- The Vice President for Finance works closely with the Board of Trustees and serves as Treasurer and the administrative liaison for the Finance and Endowment, Audit, and Property and Facilities Committees.
Requirements
- Master's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field
- Experience in financial management
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning, financial analysis, asset management, debt financing, and accounting
- Current CPA licensure preferred
