Summary

Responsibilities
- Act as a personal coach to military families, developing financial plans that adapt to evolving short-term and long-term goals.
- Provide guidance on managing day-to-day finances, building lifetime assets, and protecting against unexpected events.
- Engage with the community to attract new clients, with support from the local district team and Home Office.
- Partner directly with local military organizations, units, and other supporting institutions to connect with the military community.
- Coach families to build a comprehensive financial plan that covers savings and banking, investments and wealth management, and insurance and risk management.

Training and Licensing Support
First Command provides a comprehensive training and licensing program designed for veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses to start and grow a successful Financial Advisor career.
- Sponsorship: First Command sponsors the pursuit of full registration and licensing as a Financial Advisor using its tools and resources to guide you through the process.
- Licensing: Structured training and test preparation to obtain the necessary securities and Life & Health licenses, with no prior licensing required.
- Role Progression: After licensing, you may transition into a paid training role with a local district office to accelerate professional development.
- Compensation: The compensation during the training period begins with an hourly wage for three months, then transitions to a salaried position with progressive incentives through the remainder of the nine-month paid training period.

- Upon successful completion of the paid trainee program, you can become an independent contractor Financial Advisor with First Command, running your own practice and earning based on results and value delivered.
