Chief Financial Officer

Chipman Corporation is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term fiscal health from our onsite location in San Ramon, California. In this role, you will partner with the CEO and executive leadership to improve profitability, evaluate investments, and support sustainable growth. The position offers a compensation range of USD 200,000 to 250,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Steer financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and the organization’s long-term financial health
• Collaborate with executive leadership to enhance profitability, assess investments, and support growth
• Own cash flow forecasting, treasury management, working capital, and lender relationships
• Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and GAAP compliance
• Lead billing, credit, collections, and revenue cycle management to improve cash conversion and reduce aging receivables
• Assess major capital investments including facilities, fleet, equipment, and technology
• Coordinate tax planning, insurance programs, audits, and regulatory compliance across multiple states
• Guide ERP implementation and process automation initiatives within finance
• Build and coach a high-performing finance team with accountability and succession planning
• Translate complex financial information into practical insights to inform leadership decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
• 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
• Experience as a CFO, Controller, VP of Finance, or similar senior finance leader
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and financial reporting
• Experience leading finance within a multi-location, asset-intensive business preferred
• Background in warehousing, transportation, logistics, moving, storage, or related industries is highly desirable
• Experience with ERP implementations, capital planning, debt management, tax coordination, and insurance programs
