Job Description
In this Controller / Finance Director position with CFS, you will partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership while leading a finance function in a complex, capital-intensive environment. The role is based in Plymouth, MN with a primarily onsite working model, supporting broad ownership across accounting operations, strategic finance, and financial planning.
You will also take the lead on technical accounting and reporting while driving budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and strategic financial analysis. A key part of the position is modernizing finance systems and improving controls, processes, and reporting to strengthen decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Finance & Accounting team and act as a key partner to the CFO and senior leadership.
- Oversee a six-person team.
- Own a broad scope spanning technical accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, capital planning, and strategic financial analysis.
- Strengthen finance processes through continuous improvement.
- Modernize systems and reporting to improve visibility and effectiveness.
- Guide financial decisions within a complex, capital-intensive environment.
- Lead the leadership and development of the six-person Finance & Accounting team.
- Manage accounting operations, strategic finance, and financial planning.
- Be significantly involved in capital planning, project accounting, and asset management.
- Improve finance systems, processes, controls, and reporting.
Compensation and Benefits
- $160,000–$185,000 base salary (per year).
- 10% target bonus.
