Director of Finance

The Director of Finance at EMF Engineered Components, LLC is a strategic and operational leader who builds and scales the company’s finance function. The role supports sustainable growth through cash flow leadership, financial planning, accounting operations, strong controls, and data-driven insights for executive decision-making.

Role Overview

In this full-time, onsite position in Merritt Island, FL, you will develop long-term financial plans and forecasts, oversee accounting and reporting, manage liquidity and working capital, and partner with operations and sales to align financial strategy with business goals. You will also lead, structure, and grow the finance team while implementing systems, automation, and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a finance team covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounting, and financial analysis
• Lead cash flow management, forecasting, and liquidity planning
• Monitor daily and long-term cash position to identify risks and opportunities
• Optimize working capital, including AR, AP, and inventory management strategies
• Oversee capital expenditures, investments, and financing strategies
• Develop long-term financial plans and forecasts aligned with business objectives
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership
• Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, scenario planning, and investment analysis
• Analyze profitability, margins, and cost structures across operations, customers, and products
• Support pricing strategies, cost reduction initiatives, and capital allocation decisions
• Evaluate financial risk and develop mitigation strategies
• Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Ensure accurate, timely financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory requirements
• Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors and tax advisors
• Oversee tax planning and compliance to meet federal, state, and local obligations
• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud
• Implement access controls and financial governance policies
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
• Implement and optimize financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools
• Drive automation and process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Standardize financial reporting and dashboards for leadership visibility
• Continuously evaluate and improve finance workflows and controls
• Partner with operations, sales, and executive leadership to align financial strategy with business goals
• Provide department leaders with financial insights and performance metrics
• Present financial results and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
• Establish scalable processes, procedures, and structure for the finance department
• Ensure clear roles, accountability, and performance expectations across finance functions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibility
• Proven experience building or leading a full-cycle finance function
• Strong background in financial planning & analysis, cash management, and accounting operations
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or MBA preferred
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred

Compensation and Work Details

• Salary: USD 150,000 per year
• Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
