Job Description
Rippling seeks a Director of Strategic Finance for CX and ProdOps to shape the financial strategy and operating model for the Customer Experience and Product Operations teams. This hybrid role, based in San Francisco or New York, partners with executive leadership to set targets, allocate capital, and guide investments. Compensation ranges from USD 230,000 to 300,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Finance lead for the CX and ProdOps relationship, acting as a trusted strategic advisor to the leaders of both organizations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish ambitious yet achievable targets for CX and ProdOps, translating company priorities into clear, measurable goals.
- Deepen understanding of CX and ProdOps efficiency metrics and develop accurate financial forecasts that enable Rippling to operate with a public-company cadence and inform executive and Board decisions.
- Assess strategic initiatives such as new service models, pricing packages, product launches, and AI capabilities using rigorous financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Lead regular CX and ProdOps Strategic Finance forums, including monthly business reviews, quarterly planning cycles, and materials prepared for executives and the Board.
- Partner with Revenue Operations and Data & Analytics to design dashboards that track performance against plan and surface actionable insights for senior leaders.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team, establishing a rigorous analytical standard, ownership, and meaningful impact while developing future leaders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or private equity, with meaningful time at a high-growth technology company.
- Expert-level financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with a proven record of managing complex operating and headcount models.
- Strong understanding of SaaS customer economics, including net revenue retention, gross revenue retention, churn drivers, expansion motions, and cost-to-serve.
- Direct experience supporting Implementation, Technical Account Management, Support, or Product Operations is highly preferred.
- Ability to synthesize large, complex datasets into clear insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Proven capability to operate at a senior level with substantial independence, managing multiple large workstreams and influencing cross-functionally to drive outcomes.
- Demonstrated people leadership, including building and developing teams and raising the analytical bar across an organization.
- Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to present clearly to C-suite and Board audiences.
- Experience in a public company or public-company-ready environment is a plus.
- Experience with financial planning tools (such as Anaplan), Salesforce, and SQL is advantageous.
