Job Description
Join a stable, growth‑oriented manufacturing organization where your financial leadership directly supports daily operations and strategic decision‑making. This on site, full‑time Finance & Accounting Manager role in Watertown, SD offers a salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 with a bonus opportunity. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while partnering with executives to guide the business. Location and work model
On-site – Watertown, SD (ZIP 57201). This is an in-person, on-site role.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Compensation
Annual salary of $90,000–$110,000, depending on experience, with bonus opportunity.

What you'll do
- Direct daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and cash management
- Prepare monthly financial statements and provide reporting to leadership
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory guidelines
- Coordinate annual audits and year-end financial processes
- Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions
- Supervise and support a team of approximately 5 employees
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and general accounting principles
- Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Ability to lead and develop a team
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
- Familiarity with payroll processes and compliance
