Job Description
Martinus offers a competitive, onsite Finance Analyst role in Austin, TX, with a salary range of USD 80,000 to 110,000 per year. The position centers on supporting project financial performance through cost control, forecasting, and reporting. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related discipline and a minimum of two years of cost-control experience are required.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project costs, forecasts, and risks and opportunities (R&O), identifying variances and driving insight.
- Monitor project budgets against deliverables and staffing needs to protect financial targets.
- Assess forecast assumptions and contingency allowances, flag emerging trends and risks, and propose mitigations.
- Prepare financial reports to support budgeting, forecasting, and regular project reporting cycles.
- Process internal cost transfers and monthly accruals to maintain accurate accounts.
- Present monthly project cost performance to management, including variance explanations and context.
- Identify actions to mitigate risks and maximize project opportunities.
- Collaborate with budget owners and project stakeholders to challenge forecasts and improve financial outcomes.
- Support the Finance team and broader project group in meeting reporting deadlines and financial requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cost-control role within construction, infrastructure, or civil project environments.
- Experience with COINS ERP is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in project finance forecasting, cost management, accounting processes, and risk management.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with collaboration across multiple teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with accounting or financial systems.
